iPad Pro 2020 | I Got an Upgrade! | iPad Pro 10.5 to iPad Pro 2020 12.9

I’m typing this post out on the new Smart Keyboard Folio which is attached to my brand new 12.9 inch 2020 iPad Pro! I absolutely loved my 10.5 iPad Pro but it was the 2017 model and when the new iPads came out the other week I knew it wouldn’t be long before I caved and got one.

I love having the bigger size iPad, it’s still super portable but you have so much more screen real estate. Not to mention extra space for apps in your dock, something I’m a big fan of. Although I still don’t think I’ve got it organised just right yet. I had read a lot of articles by people who said that they found the 12.9 to be too big and cumbersome but I don’t find that to be the case. It’s still just as easy to read on it on the sofa or in bed, you just have the benefit of a bigger screen! I personally haven’t found it heavy at all, in fact, when I unboxed it I was actually quite shocked at just how light it was.

USB-C is something new to me when it comes to the iPad too, previously I had a lightning port and now I have a lot more options when it comes to peripherals. I haven’t purchased any yet but I’m excited to look into what might be helpful to me now that I have the functionality.

Upgrading to the new iPad Pro also meant an upgrade for my keyboard and Apple Pencil. I had not long ago purchased the Smart Keyboard for my 10.5 inch iPad, but after having it I couldn’t be without it anymore and so, of course, purchased the new Smart Keyboard Folio for my 12.9-inch model. I also had the first-generation Apple Pencil and so bought the second generation model, which is a decent upgrade as it now has the wireless charging and the double-tap to change tools function. No more clunky charging with the pencil sticking out of the bottom of the iPad, just seamless charging and connectivity at all times.

I’m really pleased that I upgraded and you can bet there will be a lot of future blog posts typed on this thing!
